Multiplication tables 1 – 10

Click on the following button to download the multiplication table chart 1 to 10. You can print it out and paste on your refrigerator.

This is the chart:

1 times table

The 1 times table is the easiest because the identity property of multiplication says that “the product of 1 and any number is that number”, as you can see in the following image.

1 times table

2 times table

When multiplying 2 by any number, simply add the number to itself. For example, 2 × 3 = 3 + 3 = 6. When a number is multiplied by two, you are doubling the number.

3 times table

When multiplying 3 by any number, simply add the number three times. For example, 3 × 4 = 4 + 4 + 4 = 12.

4 times table

When multiplying 4 by any number, double the number and then double the result.

5 times table

All the products in the 5 times table end with 0 or 5; there is no other choice.

6 times table

When you multiply 6 by an even number, they both end in the same digit. For example: 6 × 2 = 12;   6 × 4 = 24;  6 × 8 = 48.

7 times table

This table is a little tricky and my students always say that this table is the hardest to learn. So pay attention to this table.

8 times table

When multiplying 8 by any number, double the number, then double the product, and double it again.

9 times table

This table is also hard to learn. To multiply 9 by any number, multiply the number by 10 and then subtract the one set of that number. For example: 9 × 3 = 10 × 3 – 3 = 30 – 3 = 27.

10 times table

To multiply 10 by a number, just put a zero after the number. For example, 10 × 2 = 20;  10 × 6 = 60.

Pythagorean table

The Pythagorean table is a chart that shows the products of the multiplication tables. In only one chart, you have all the multiplication tables.
